Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly permeating every sector of Pingshan District.

On the front lines of smart manufacturing, AI-driven virtual assembly, machine vision inspection, predictive maintenance, and intelligent warehousing and logistics are accelerating the shift toward intelligent production.

In urban governance, drones are deployed to inspect traffic and emergency sites, AI vision models monitor workplace safety and urban environments around the clock, and self-driving vehicles provide passenger transport and delivery services — together forming a land‑and‑air integrated smart governance system.

In public services and agriculture, digital applications — from AI-powered physical education and cloud‑based courses to intelligent crop disease diagnosis and data-driven agricultural decision support — are expanding service capabilities and boosting industrial development.

Behind this thriving AI ecosystem is Pingshan District’s forward-looking policy framework and strong industrial cultivation. The district’s “Ten Measures on Artificial Intelligence” fosters technological innovation and scenario implementation through incentives such as model-filing rewards, funding for computing power and data, rental subsidies, and open access to real-world application scenarios.

In 2025, Pingshan accelerated AI integration and industrialization. It released 11 targeted AI application scenarios, explored 100 additional scenarios, and promoted AI adoption across its three leading sectors — new energy and intelligent connected vehicles, biopharmaceuticals, and semiconductors. At the same time, the district has strengthened its urban computing infrastructure to become a core hub for advanced AI manufacturing and a demonstration zone for comprehensive AI applications.

To date, Pingshan has cultivated one national-level smart manufacturing demonstration factory, developed two nationally recognized outstanding smart manufacturing scenarios, and supported 82 enterprises that have achieved smart manufacturing capability maturity Level 3 or above — the second-highest total among Shenzhen districts. Additionally, 14 Pingshan-based enterprises were included in Shenzhen’s first batch of advanced smart factories in 2025, accounting for one-third of the city’s total.
